Rochester: Passed away April 10, 2008, at age 65. Predeceased by his father, Robert C. Rooksby. Survived by his mother, Evelyn M. Rooksby; Bonnie Rooksby; son, Michael (Michelle) Rooksby and their children Michael Jr., Madison & Montana; daughter, Michelle (Michael) LaFranca and their children, Allison & Jonathan; sister Carol (James) Weidlich; brother, George (Susan) Rooksby; aunt, Patricia Mavity; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was retired from the Sheriff's Department after 25 years of service, and was a longtime member of Brook-Lea Country Club.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will be receiving those that shared Howard's life on Tuesday, April 15th between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Diplomat Party House. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Monroe County Sheriff's Foundation, c/o 130 S. Plymouth Avenue, Rochester, NY 14614.
