Passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at age 90. She was predeceased by 7 sisters and 4 brothers; parents, George and Marie Proksha (Nee Kralik). She is survived by son, Robert K. (Marcia) Raines; daughters, Barbara L. Giannavola, Susan I. Raines, Ruth E. (Richard) Accorso; grandchildren, Robert (Christie) Raines, Jonathan Raines, Justin (Stacey) Raines, Joel (Jennifer) Raines, Jordan (Lauren) Raines, Jeffrey Raines, James Glidden, Richard Glidden, Thomas (Sandra) Giannavola, Phil Accorso, Michele Accorso; 12 great-grandchildren, plus 1 on the way. Irene was a former president of the Local Chapter of the American Business Womens Association and a retiree of the New York State Worker's Compensation Board.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 18th from 2-4 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd., where an Informal Service will follow calling hours at 4 PM. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's name may be made to Visiting Nurse Hospice and Palliative Care, 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580.
