Greece: August 13, 2010, at age 78. Predeceased by former wife, Mary Plante Manning; parents, Leon and Dorothy; sisters, Marion and Shirley. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Marion; children, David (Peggy) and Jeffrey Thompson, Jaclynn (Geoffrey) Kowalczyk, Earl (Lisa) Thompson; grandchildren, Steven & Kim Thompson; great-grandchildren, Mason & Ty; sisters, Mary Jane Giertz, Betty Barker, Nancy (Gabe) Riccio and Sally Thompson; brother, Leon (Kay) Thompson; brother-in-law, Norman Wilson; several nieces and nephews; many dear friends. He was a Korean War Air Force Veteran and long time member of IUOE 832.
No prior calling hours. A celebration of JT's life will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Interment White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Legion, Greece Post 468, 344 Dorsey Road, Rochester, NY 14616.
