James Jay Garlock

December 27, 1945 — July 12, 2017

Rochester:
Passed away on, July 12th, 2017 at the age of 71. Predeceased by his parents, James and Betty Garlock. He leaves behind his loving wife of 22 years, Maryanne Reber-Garlock; sons, Dave (Lisa) Garlock and Joe (Annie) Garlock; grandchildren, Brandon, Taylor, Dan, Mats and Melissa; sisters, Peggy (Bill Bayle) Sprong, Linda (Jim) Contant; brother, Tom (Roberta) Garlock; brother and sister- law Michael and Deanna Reber, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Jim was a natural athlete & had a passion for sports. He excelled at baseball, basketball & soccer in high school. He was the type of guy that was friends with everybody & was King of the Junior & Senior Ball. After High School he served in the US Air Force and was a Military Police Dog Handler assigned to Thailand. He had a successful 33 year career at Kodak. After that, he became the USGTA golf professional at Braemar Country Club then transitioned into Superintendent for the past 20 years. Jim was a gentleman, a well respected friend to everyone, an amazing personality to be around and will be missed terribly by anyone that knew him. Everyone loved Jim.
Family will receive friends from 1PM - 3PM, on Sunday July 23rd, 2017 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. A 4PM reception will be held at Braemar Country Club, 4704 W Ridge Rd, Spencerport, NY 14559.
