GREECE- James A. Kolb, 79, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 surrounded by the love of his family. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Elizabeth Kolb, and sister Diane Whelan. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Marie; son Kevin (Kelley); daughters Cyndi (Matt) Cerame, and Bridget (Craig) Kaper; grandsons Tyler, Zachary, and Lucas; granddaughters Abigail and Isabella; step-granddaughters Morgan and Kaitlyn. Also survived by sister Rita Knittel, brother Daniel, sister Mary (Ron) Kuchman and several nephews and nieces.
Jim was born in Rochester, NY on April 30, 1942. After retiring from Rochester Products, Jim spent a good amount of time volunteering for the Alzheimer's Association and School of the Holy Childhood. Jim loved all sporting events and was an avid follower of Notre Dame and Aquinas Institute from where he graduated in 1960. Jim spent the majority of his retirement years enjoying his family and especially his grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626, on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N Greece Rd, Rochester, NY 14626 on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 9:30am. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester, NY
