Passed September 26, 2021 at the age of 60, after his third courageous battle with cancer.
Predeceased by his parents, Robert & Mariba; sister in law, Beth.
Survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Karen; sons, James Paul & Maxwell John; brothers, Robert, Steven, & Philip (Debbie); many nieces, nephews, great nieces, & great nephews; an incredible network of close friends whom are considered family; & cats, Pumpkin, Leia, Kylo Ren, Gimli, & Shaggy.
Jim was commonly referred to as MacGyver as there was nothing he couldn't create. The world lost a handy man, photographer, web designer, carpenter, chef, builder, musician, mechanic, cat lap, scout dad, husband, & amazing father all in one. He worked in so many ways to improve the lives of everyone around him & was a friend who always thought of others before himself. He was the love of Karen's life for 35 years, & instilled many values in his sons, including an incredible passion for music.
The family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, memories, & love from friends, family, & the medical team at Wilmot Cancer Center. Special thanks to ICU Dr. Sunil Ramaswamy who enabled Jim's family to be together in his final days.
Calling hours will be Monday October 4, 4-8pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. Services will be held the following day 1pm at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 3760 Culver Road.
