James J. Marcaitis

Rochester, New York

Passed away on, July 22, 2023 at the age of 67.

Predeceased by his Parents, Joseph V. & Della Marcaitis, Brother, John Marcaitis

He is survived by his Daughter, Erika (Lars) Bee; Grandchildren, Harper & Lincoln Bee; Sisters, Albina Luttrell, Elizabeth (Richard) Corrigan, Noreen (Wayne) Clarke, Sister-in-law, Bethany Marcaitis; Former Spouse, Maureen Netti; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim moved to Rochester from his hometown of Westmoreland, New York over 45 years ago bringing his youth, strength and knowledge with him. A Jack of all Trades and Master of none, he eventually became known for his residential and commercial painting expertise, working for many companies over the year, including for a time, his own painting business. He was known as "Jim the Painter" as folks couldn't remember his Lithuanian last name. He was quick to make friends and easy to get along with. He was always generous to those friends. He was known for his homemade horseradish and his hot mustard. We will miss him.

Family will receive friends Thursday July 27th from 4-7 PM, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd.
