Died July 5th, 2021 at age 91 at his residence in Bonita Springs, Fl. Jim was born on April 15, 1930 in Danube, MN a son of the late George and Malinda (Pankow) Schroer. He had been a resident of Bonita Springs for the past 28 years moving from Fairport, NY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1949 to 1952 when he was honorably discharged. In 1955, Jim received his Bachelor's degree in Business Education from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. He spent 33 years working for Honeywell, Inc. and retired as their Corporate Vice President. He also was an Adjunct Professor at the Simon School of Business at the University of Minnesota and the owner of Factory Business Consulting Firm.
He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Templeton (Brad) of Fairport, NY and Kathryn Stein of Riverwoods, IL; four beloved grandchildren, Douglas Templeton (Amy), Kelsey Holub-Keen (Brett), James Holub (Fiancée, Delaney Atkinson) and Kassandra Stein and two precious great grandchildren, Magnolia Keen and Clark Templeton. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald G. Schroer (Beverly) of Minnesota and his partner, Sylvia Villegas of Bonita Springs, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Nola E. Schroer who died September 3, 2016.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, NY. Viewing will begin at 1:00 PM followed by a service and interment at 1:45 PM. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army.
