James W. Williams

James “Jim” Williams, 66, of Silver Creek, NY passed away suddenly, Tuesday, October 8th at his home in Gates, NY.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, James and Antionette Williams, his wife Patricia Williams, and great nephew and niece Brennen and Finley Bereda.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Leanne Cassevoy of Rochester, NY, girlfriend Debra Parker of Rochester, NY, brother Michael Williams (Kimberly Krzyzanowicz Lanski) of Winterville, North Carolina, sister Pamela (Robert) Size of Bonita Springs, Fla, sister Kathi Williams (Mark Gregorio) of Cheektowaga, NY, brother John (Rebecca) Williams of Cheektowaga, NY, grandchildren Joshua Cassevoy, Jacob Cassevoy, Varina Williams and Skylar Williams, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jim loved his grandchildren and his beloved dog Bear. He enjoyed cheering on the Buffalo Bills, the New York Yankees and listening to his vinyl records. With his recent retirement, he loved being able to spend more time with family and friends. He looked forward to the weekends when he and Debbie would go to his favorite restaurant Jim’s, where he enjoyed a big stack of blueberry pancakes. Jim was a proud US Army veteran who served his country from 1976 to 1982. He will be remembered for his dedication to his country and his fellow service members. 

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the National Veterans Foundation or the American Cancer Society in Jim’s memory. 

Family will receive friends 4-6pm Tuesday October 15, 2024 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (west of Long Pond Rd.)

A funeral service will begin at 6pm following visitation with honors from the US Army for Jim's military service to his country.
