Jane Adele was born on November 26, 1956, to the union of Virginia and William Lester in Rochester, New York. She attended No. 4 Elementary School to begin her educational career then would go on to graduate from St. Agnes All-girls Catholic High School. She followed up her educational career with an associate degree in Secretarial Science at CCBI in Syracuse, New York. She then worked at Kodak for 25 years and retired from Monroe Community Hospital after 15 years.
Jane lived a fun-filled life before becoming a mother, wife, and grandmother. She enjoyed the nightlife and family gatherings.
Jane was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, wife, and friend who blessed everyone with her protection. Jane loved music especially when the weather was at its best. She would sit on the porch and play her favorite tunes if she wasn't listening to WDKX. Jane also loved her Dallas Cowboys. She would sit in front of the TV screen yelling "yeaah!" She really loved her football. Jane loved spending time with her cousins and friends. Most of all Jane loved her children, grandchildren, and sisters. Jane touched many hearts

Jane departed this life on December 25, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and William Lester, two sisters, Shirley Smith and Jaqueline Brown, and husband, Willie D. Ervin. She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Shadae Walker, one son, Willie (Mariah) Ervin, five grandchildren, Imani McKinney, Leyah Walters, Braylahn Harris, Jayceion McCullough, and Eric Seitzinger Jr., three nephews Robert Smith, Sincere Smith, and Kai Smith, two nieces, Valerie Lyman and Kimyah Smith all from Rochester, New York, one aunt Mary Adams Carlton, Orlando, Florida, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Family and friends may attend visitation 10-11 am Wednesday January 3, 2024 at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 250 Dr Samuel McCree Way, Rochester, NY 14611. Funeral services will begin promptly at 11am in the sanctuary of the church.
