Greece: Passed away Saturday, September 7th 2019, at age 85.
Jean was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Predeceased by her loving husband, of 54 years, Fred; parents, Hugh and Catherine McWhinny; brothers, Hugh, James, William; and sisters Margaret, Katherine, and twin sister June.
She is survived by her children, Robert VanDerbrook of Lyndonville, Steve (Jean) VanDerbrook of Albion, Eileen (Robert) Larkin of Lyndonville, Patricia (James Burdick) Gascon of Greece, Karen (Timothy) Post of Hamlin, Sharon (Richard) Black of Greece; Grandchildren, Charleen (Doug) Hale, Karl VanDerbrook, Melissa( Robert) Knapp, Courtney (Chris) Hutchings, Brian Larkin, Eric Gascon, Amanda (Karl) Coons, Casey VanDerbrook, Kevin (Jessica) Post, Briana Post, Heather Black, Chelsea Black, Rachel Black; Great grandchildren, Arianna Hale, Douglas Hale, Connor Knapp, Kaylee Knapp, Kyle Hutchings, Kelli Hutchings, Alania Coons, Dyllan Coons, Damien Coons, Ayden Coons, Piper Coons, Rylee Spall, Joseph DeJesus, Jacob DeJesus, Julia DeJesus, Jessa DeJesus, Aubrey DeGraff, Caleb DeGraff, and Lucy Burkett; As well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and many well loved friends.
Calling hours will be Thursday September 12, 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Services will be Saturday September 14, 11am at St Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave.
