Passed away peacefully, February 11, 2023 at the age of 80.
Predeceased by parents, Louis & Irene Desrosiers; sisters, Georgette "Skip" Robertie & Juliet (Albert) Walker, in-laws, Raymond & Mary Gauthier; brother in law, Al Murray.
She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Gauthier; children Robert R. Gauthier & Donna G. (Donald) Maxwell; grandchildren, Holly, Kayla & Peyton Maxwell & sister in law Paula Murray; nieces, Renee & Mary K. Robertie, Kristen Murray, Mary Beth (Joey) Souza; nephews, Larry (Patricia) Robertie, James Robertie, Christopher (Kayla) Walker, Daniel (Amy) Walker & many great nieces and nephews.
Jeanie was born in Fall River, Massachusetts January 26, 1943. She lived a majority of her life in Rochester, NY with her beloved husband of 58 years Raymond P. Gauthier and they raised their children Bob & Donna. Beyond her proud title of mom and homemaker Jeanie was amazingly talented. She spoke fluent French, played a multitude of instruments including the piano, guitar and banjo. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking as well as baking and was a master at all crafts: sewing, knitting, crochet, needlework, painting, & drawing. She could truly, do it all. As an avid quilter she was the two time New York State quilting champion.
Outside of the home, Jeanie enjoyed traveling with Ray, especially to Myrtle Beach and Bar Harbor, Maine. She found joy in golfing, sailing and swimming in the summer months and cross country skiing & ice skating during the winter. She was a kind soul with an infectious laugh who would give you the shirt off your back if you needed it.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Jeanie's honor.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
