ROCHESTER-Jerome J. Kupski, 93, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 surrounded by the love of his family.
Jerry was born in Rochester, NY on February 10, 1929 to the late Felix and Frances Kupski. Jerry served his country honorably in the United States Army in Korea during the Korean War. After his service he went on to marry the love of his life, Sally Kupski. They were married for 69 years and together they raised three children in a house that he made into a home. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed.
In his younger years, he played the accordion in a three-piece band called the Starlight Trio, which brought him great enjoyment. He continued to play at family gatherings and for his wife Sally for years to come. Jerry also took great pride in caring for his home and gardens through many home improvement projects; he could build or fix anything!
Jerry was a graduate of Edison Technical High School and then took shop mathematics and trigonometry courses at RIT, after which he was employed by Eastman Kodak Co. as an instrument-maker for 40 years. In his retirement, he joined VFW Post 9483 in Webster, where he joined the golf league and became Commander for a term.
He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Raymond (Patricia) Kupski, and his sister Dorothy (William) Pospula.
He is survived by his cherished wife Sally Kupski; his loving children Deborah (Brian) Same, Rita (Timothy) Prosperi, and Stephen (Laura Dillow) Kupski; his beloved grandchildren Adam (Michelle) Same, Sara (Spencer) Fritsch, Jeffrey (Bethany) Same, Jenna Prosperi, and Archie Kupski; and his adored great-grandchildren Logan and Avery Fritsch and Martin Jerome Same, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Christian mass will be celebrated at St. Rita's Church, 1008 Maple Drive, Webster, NY 14580, on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 10am.
