Jeronette " Jerry" L. Cleveland 71, Passed away Sunday June 21st 2020. After a long battle with illness she was called home to be with the Lord. She was Surrounded by the love of her family.
Jerry was born in Eustis, FL on January 14th, 1949 to Luther Sanders and Viola Turner (Sanders). Jerry loved to Fish, make floral arrangements, sing, cook and support her family with Love. One thing that Jerry would do is sing to you to build you up and keep you encouraged. She always knew the right thing to say at the right time. This will be deeply missed.
Jerry attended Monroe Highschool. Then attended Rochester Business Institute and gained an Associated Degree in Business. Jerry worked for U.S Customs and retired after 15 years. Jerry was a faithful member of Faith temple on Arnett Blvd under the leadership of Bishop Jerry McCullough. Jerry loved to sing so natural she was apart of the Faith Temple Chorus.
Jerry met the love of her life Samuel Cleveland on June of 1974 at Church of God in Christ on Frost Ave, Rochester NY. They were married almost a year later on, August 2, 1975 at Aenon Baptist Church. They've been inseparable until the Lord called her home.
Jerry is predeceased by Father Luther Jerome Sander, Stepfather Rufus Turner, Mother-in-law Nancy Mae Cleveland, Brother Darnell Sanders and Sister-in-law Naola Harrison (Robert Harrison).
Jerry is survived by Husband: Samuel Cleveland, Mother: Viola Turner, Brother-in-Law: James Cleveland (Gloria). Brother: Luther Sanders, Daughters: Irene Carter, Tauisha Cleveland, Hasan Hucks, Qiana McCullough, Carolyn Jeffers, and Tammy Jones. First Cousin: Patricia Davis- Mathis. And a host of Grandchildren, Great grandchildren, Nieces, Nephew and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY on Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 10:00am-12:00pm, with a service to be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements.
Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels
