Brockport: After a lifelong battle with mitochondrial disease MELAS, surrounded by his family, Jesi peacefully took his last breath on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at age 50. He was predeceased by his parents; Frank and Virginia Geil.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Brenda; his daughters Amanda (John), Katie (Devin) and Erin (Mike); stepchildren, Bonnie Hughes, Nicole Conley, Thomas "T.J." Ford (Brandie), Tabitha Ford (Mike) and Matthew Ford; grandchildren including, Frankie, Dominic, Ava and others; nieces and nephews; and older brother and lifelong friend, Todd Geil.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 23nd from 10 to 11 AM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue with a Funeral Service immediately following at 11 AM. Interment, Garland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Jesi's name to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation to continue to bring about awareness, treatment and a cure for MELAS.
