Went home to be with the Lord, November 12, 2006, at age 65; surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sally (Barton) Crews; children, Lorilynn (Scott Cakebread) Crews, Jeffrey (Lisa) Crews, Rhonda (Jimmy) Lawrence; grandchildren, Danielle, Jessie Lee and Levi Crews, Justin and Jordan Lawrence; sisters, Betty (Paul) Scripter, Debbie Hoops, Carole (Guthrie) Gullion, Ginger Casanova; brother, Ervin Jr (Jan) Crews; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Predeceased by sister, Donna Culbertson and brother-in-law, Rick Casanova.
Jimmie was an employee of Eastman Kodak where he retired from after 25 years. He enjoyed woodworking and was a craft show vendor for 15 years. The Crews traveled extensively throughout the United States on photo safaris. Their photography and frame work can be viewed at Liberty Hollow, 4975 Ridge Rd., Spencerport, New York.
Family will receive friends 2-4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. Thursday at New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A Memorial Service will be held 11A.M. Friday at First Bible Baptist Church, 1039 N. Greece Rd. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials in Jim's name to Lifetime Care Hospice, 3111 Winton Rd. S., Rochester, NY 14623.
