Irondequoit: Passed away peacefully Saturday, February 20, 2010, at age 83. She is predeceased by her daughter, Lois. Survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, William; sons, Norman (Kristin), Paul (Mary); grandchildren, Lauren, Olivia, Martin and Lilly; twin sister, Joyce (Fred) Howell; 3 nieces and 4 nephews. Joan was a volunteer with the American Red Cross for 40 years, and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for 60 years.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 23, 10 - 11 AM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where Funeral Services will follow calling hours at 11 AM. Interment, Irondequoit Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1549 Dewey Ave., Rochester, NY 14615, or to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue / Bob Hope Rd., Miami, FL 33136-1494.
