Predeceased by her husband; Hubert D. Wood, Parents; John and Marion Ziemba, Step Son; Thomas Wood.
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a long courageous battle with Diabetes.
Survived by her Daughter; Jennifer (Christian) Abildsoe. Step Son; Jeffrey (Maureen) Wood. Grandchildren; Benjamin, Bernadette Wood. Samuel, Alexander Abildsoe. Sisters; Patricia (Bruce) Reynolds, Elizabeth (William) Skeddle, Marion (Dennis) Voth.
Brother; John F. Ziemba.
Family will receive friends 4-7pm Friday, November 9, 2018 at Newcomer Cremation and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (west of corner at Long Pond Rd.) for visitation hours.
On Saturday morning at 10 am , friends may meet at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue Rochester, NY 14612 for Joan's mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please forward contributions to Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue Rochester, NY 14612 in memory of Joan.
