Passed away August 28, 2019 at the age of 71.
Survived by her loving husband of 51 years, David Sercu; daughter, Linda Sercu; & many foster children.
Joanne was a loving wife & mother. She was an avid reader for many years as well as a huge Star Trek fan. She was very involved in neighborhood housing services during the 80's often being the president, vice president, or secretary. She retired from foster care with husband in 2005 & retired from being a Home Health Aid in 2014.
Calling hours will be Tuesday September 3, 10-12pm with a service at 12pm, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Burial service to follow immediately after at Riverside Cemetery, 2650 Lake Ave.
