NUNDA: Jodie passed away on January 2, 2007, at the age of 44, after a courageous struggle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted partner, Stephen Shultis; her son, Todd Gage; her daughter, Tanya Oleksyn; her father, Robert (Paula Schroth) Oleksyn; her mother, Nancy Oleksyn and husband, Jim Schneider; her sister, Robyn Oleksyn; her brother, Eris Oleksyn (Mary); nephew and nieces; many aunts, uncles and cousins; grandmother, Pearl Oleksyn. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and especially Marie Shultis. Our special thanks to the gentle and caring staff at the Lipson Cancer Center at Rochester General Hospital.
Family will receive friends 4-8 PM Friday at New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where her Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Tanya Oleksyn Education Fund, c/o Nancy Oleksyn, 2815 Latta Rd., Roch., NY 14612 or American Cancer Society.
