John Gaetano Coniglio
June 24, 1955 — December 28, 2022
John Gaetano Coniglio (67) of Rochester, NY died peacefully in hospice care on December 28, 2022 after a courageous battle with leukemia.
John was predeceased by his parents Felice and Betty (Hinton) Coniglio.
John is survived by his devoted son Jeffrey Coniglio (Mackenzie Lee), daughter Julia Coniglio, grandson Thomas Coniglio, and sisters Jean (Ray) Silvestro and JoAnn (Bill) Lang. He is also survived by his beloved girlfriend and soulmate Kim DuBois, her children Boyd, Jennifer, and Pamela, and her grandson Christopher. John also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
John was a proud and loving father. He spent many years singing in a barbershop quartet, loved listening to classic rock and roll music, and was a lifelong fan of the Buffalo Bills (he was certain they were finally making it back to the Superbowl in 2023).
One of John's greatest passions was swimming and he took great pride in the number of children and adults who learned to swim because of the lessons he provided at the JCC and Rochester public pools.
John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
John's family will host calling hours on Wednesday January 4, 2023 from 5-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home on 2636 Ridgeway Ave in Rochester, NY.
