Irondequoit- John DiJames, 77, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 surrounded by the love of his family.
John was born in Rochester, NY on July 18, 1945 to the late Joseph and Susie DiJames. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On August 7, 1970 John married the love of his life, Ann. They were married for over 50 years and together they raised three daughters. John was a loyal employee to Rochester Products for over 30 years. John will be remembered for his love of golf, fishing, bowling, and classic cars. His passion in life was his family.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Esther DiJames, Louis DiJames, and his sister-in-law, Hilde DiJames.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann DiJames, his daughters, Elizabeth (Dan) Fedison, Angela (Scott) Shaw, and Deborah (Greg) Maier, his grandchildren, John, Brooke, Ethan, and Adam, his brother, Raymond DiJames, his sister-in-law, Barbara DiJames, and many close nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester, NY 14609, on Monday, February 13, 2023 from 4pm-7pm. A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Rochester, NY on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 11am.
