FAIRPORT- John R. Dunning, 65, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 surrounded by the love of his family.
John was born in Ellwood City, PA to the late John and Bette Dunning on May 29, 1954. On December 31, 1987 John married the love of his life, Jackie Dunning. They were married for 31 years, and together they raised two children. John worked as a carpenter for over 25 years. In 1990 he started his construction business, Dunning Construction. John would like to be remembered as 'The Pumpkin Man of Fairport' for his autumn pumpkin displays.
John is predeceased by his sisters, Judy Janney, and Carol Billyk.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jackie, his children, Jessica (Dan) Pittinaro, and John J. Dunning, his granddaughters, Graycin, and Hadley, his in-laws, Cathy Williamson, William (Joann) Colby, and James (Sue) Colby, his special cousin, Tom (Ann) Dunning, and a host of family and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester, NY 14609, on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 4:00pm-7:00pm, with a service to immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in John's name to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 98018, Washington DC 20090-8018
