John Glassford

John "Doug" Glassford, age 90, passed away peacefully on June 14th after a long illness. Doug had so many caring providers that made his final weeks comfortable, and we are grateful to each of them.

Doug was born in Chatham, Ontario. His work with Bethlehem Steel took him and his family to Bethlehem PA. Retirement took him and Pat to North Carolina. His final years were in Fairport NY near Todd and Patti.

Doug and Pat enjoyed traveling. He loved sharing their memories of the cruises they took with friends. Doug was a long-time bowler. Five-pin in Canada. Ten-pin when he moved to the states. In his final years, despite being blind, he excelled at WII bowling! Doug and Pat were always happy to open their home to traveling relatives and enjoyed so many visits with their family.

Doug is survived by his wife of 66 years, Pat; children, Robin (Craig) Spadt, Patti (Marvin) Langley, Bill, & Todd (Carole); 9 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, & cousins.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
