John passed July 29, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving wife by his side at the age of 59.
Predeceased by his parents, John Howard & Lucille Irene Holford; brother, Michael Holford; sister, Nancy Jane Scheffelaar; & nephew, Michael Holford.
Survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Brenda Bridges; son Jay Brian Holford, Derek Michael Bridges; daughter, Crystal Gwen Bridges; granddaughter, Rosalynn Alina Bridges; sister, Barbara (Donald) Dizalo, Patricia (Gino) Gatto; nieces, Angela Gatto, Francesca (Dan) Harris, Sarah Scheffelaar, Christine Scheffelaar, & Heather Holford; great nieces & nephews, Jacob Harris, Colton Harris, Avery Scheffelaar & Aiden Scheffelaar; & many other family & friends.
Jay loved his family especially his granddaughter Rosalynn "Booboo".
Jay was a huge NASCAR especially Chase Elliot, Dolphins, & drag racing fan. He was a coach for 40 & 1 baseball league. Jay also volunteered much of his time to the Irondequoit Fish & Game Club, often doing Dogs on the Deck. Jay went to Watkins Glenn every year to enjoy the racing weekend. Jay loved going to the Caribbean, Aruba, Dominican, Cancun, Rivera Maya, & Jamaica.
Celebration of life to held at a later date at the Irondequoit Fish & Game Club at families convenience.
