Passed away on, January 16, 2022 at the age of 71.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Ives; step son, Michael Sexton and daughter in law, Lisa Sexton.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer L. Ives; step son, David Sexton; granddaughter, Savannah Sexton; sisters, Judy (Richard) Wereley, Cecelia (James) Schug, Mary Jo Ives and Nora (Terry) Smith; wife, Sara Ives; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews; dear friends.
John spent most of his working career selling snack foods at Lance Incorporated. When he retired he enjoyed taking care of the neighborhood feral cats. He also enjoyed scrapping metal with his friends and step sons. John was a die hard Buffalo Bills fan...GO BILLS!
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12th at 1PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester, NY 14626.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rescued Treasurers Pet Adoptions, 3177 Latta Road, Rochester, NY 14612 OR any local trap, spay, neuter and release for feral cats.
