Gates: Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at age 90. Predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Lois "Jane" Weber. He is survived by his son, David (Susan) Weber; sister, Charlotte Black; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hittle; nieces, nephews and cousins.
John was a WW II Army Veteran, who served in the North African and European Campaigns. He was a member of the 209th Coast Artillery (AA) Veteran's Association. Retiree of Rochester Products and a partner with Alliance Tool Corp. He was active with the Rochester Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society and Operation Lifesaver.
Family and friends may call Tuesday May 18th 11 to 1 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where his Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 1 P.M. Private Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rochester Chapter NRHS, PO Box 23326, Rochester, NY 14692-3326 or NY Operation Lifesaver, 251 State Route 49, Cleveland, NY 13042.
