Rochester- John W. Munnings, 67, passed away on Friday January 20, 2023.
John was born in Rochester, NY, June 15 1955 to the late James and Delores Munnings. He was the beloved husband to Denise Munnings for 48 years.
John was a true family-man. He had the unique ability to make anyone feel like you were his special guest anywhere he was. His caring personality and unique sense of humor will be forever remembered by those who knew him. He was such a generous soul throughout his entire life; right to the end when he chose to be a whole body donor in order to help further research on Alzheimer's. John was passionate about camping and bringing joy to his family. He will be remembered walking around the campfire, drinking his Miller light, cracking jokes and enjoying time with his family. John was a master painter, and ran a successful business for many years.
He is survived by his daughters; Ranaie Soto and Corrilynn (Bernardo) Melendez. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren; Enricci Soto, Alexis Soto, Hope Melendez, Bernardo Melendez Jr., Karmen Gonzalez, Evianna Martinez, Emilio Melendez, Taya and Lilly Distefano, Lylah Toole, and Wynter "Grace" Quinones.
