Peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at age 77. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose; parents, brothers and sisters. Survived by his sons, Barry (Martha) and Richard (Mariellen); grandchildren, Julie, Richard (RJ), Gianna, and Nina; step-children, Kelly (David) Batz, Michael (Jennifer) Mulherin, Erin (Michael) Trout, Brian (Mary Jo) Mulherin, and Shawna (Andrew) Cruikshank; grandchildren, Zachery, Jacob, Jesse, and Jared; also surviving brothers and sisters-in-law, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. John was a US Navy veteran.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1st, from 4-8 PM at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. His Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday 10 AM in St. Ann Church, 1600 Mt. Hope Ave. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642.
