Rochester:
Beloved Father, lovingly passed peacefully Monday, December 2, 2019 at age 92.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy, parents, Fred and Fannie Nelson and brother Bill Nelson.
He is survived by son, Scott (Kristina) Nelson; daughters, Jackie (Greg) Feeney, Kim (Mark Lehman) Delaney, Mitzy (Steve) Scharr, Sandy (Bill) Bleier; grandchildren, Maxine, John, Bill, Erin, Mike, S.J., Danielle, Jessica, Andrew, Ian and their spouses; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Wegmans Cottages for their loving care and support.
John was a proud WWII Navy veteran, he loved watching Nascar Racing and golf.
Calling hours will be Thursday Dec. 5th 4pm to 7pm at New Comer Cremations and Funeral 2636 Ridgeway Ave..
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 7th at 11:00 am at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 4100 Lyell Rd.
Interment Holy Ghost Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Parish of the Holy Family
