Greece: Passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at age 87. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Marie (Mingione); his parents, Alessandro & Josephine; sister-in-law, Anne Pannoni. He is survived by his children, Sandra (Robert) Oswald and John (Maria) Pannoni; grandchildren, Rebecca, Stephanie, Emily & Gregory Oswald, Lance Boyington, Giovanni, Jeremy & Ashley Pannoni; brother, Americo "Moe" Pannoni; brother-in-law, Ferdinand Piano; sister-in-law, Antoinette Mingione; several nieces, nephews, cousins & many special friends. John was a retiree after 33 years from the NYSDOT, and also served as president of Pannoni Masonry.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hamilton Manor Nursing Home for their loving care.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 24, from 4-8 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. His Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, 10 AM at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N. Greece Rd. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
