(Ivette Velazquez) Bates; grandchildren, Steven (Salone) Brandt, Ryan, Jonathan and Dustin Dillard, Natasha Bates and Tabitha Bates; 2 great-grandchildren, R.J. and Zoey Brandt; sisters, Mary Alice Matteson, Ruth Ann Bates, Janet (Lee) Bates-Miller; brothers, Robert Bates, Donald (Marie) Bates, Michael (Dorothy) Bates, Gerald Bates and Thomas (Patricia) Bates; sisters-in-law, Betty Forquell and Louise (Jeff) Griffith; brothers-in-law, David (Gail) Forquell and Gerald Forquell.
Family and friends may call Friday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, where his Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10 AM. Interment in Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 595 Blossom Road, Suite 208, Rochester, New York 14610 in his memory.
