Koester, John Theodore "Johnny"
Rochester: At 95 years old. Born May 1, 1915. Died July 30, 2010. He is predeceased by his mother, Wilhelmina Bohatsch Koester; brother, Edward G. Koester. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Agnes DeHond Koester; son, Glenn (Jama) Koester; daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Burdette; 3 granddaughters, Cheryl Koester, Rebekah and Sara Burdette. Johnny worked at the Eastman Kodak Company for 42 years and retired in 1977 so he could cultivate his love of vegetable gardens and hunting. He was a long time member of North Baptist Church as an usher and devoted repairman.
A special thanks to the Mary Regina Memory Unit at Grandville Senior Living Community for their love and support during Johnny's final years. Our precious antique is finally free of pain and with his Lord.
Friends are invited to attend Johnny's Memorial Service, Tuesday, August 3rd at 1 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
