Predeceased by his Mother, Arlene H. Barnes.
He is survived by his devoted partner; Tamie Eidman, Father, Arnold H. Van Scooter, Sister, Michelle L. Raymond & brother David Van Scooter, step-son Shane Eidman, step-daughters, Sara (Jon) Eidman, Shannon (Jesus) Eidman & Paige (DJ) Douglas, grandchildren; Jade, June, Aaliyah, Sky, Isabel, Jayden, Jasias, Ethan & Gabriel, aunt, Laurie Wise, uncle Greg Van Scooter, 1 niece & 4 nephews, & Dionna his beloved German Shephard.
John was a self taught carpenter and took pride in his work. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed golfing.
Family will receive friends Saturday, July 23rd 1 PM - 3 PM, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue.
