Greece: Passed peacefully surrounded by loving family on Friday, February 27, 2009 at age 69. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marion; children, Aaron C. Barr, Roxy (Dale) Snyder, Timothy O. Bates; grandchildren, Jake Aaron Barr, Cpl. Wes Seneca and Austyn Hawk Snyder, Brad (Rachel) and Shane (Alicia) Bates, Jennifer (Joe) Lombardo; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Jade, Julianna and Sydney; sister, Violet "Tootsie" Parrinello; brother, Nathaniel (Geraldine) Barr and twin brother, Joseph (Joan) Barr; several nieces, nephews and friends. John was an Army veteran and a Kodak retiree.
The family would like to thank the team at Strong, 7th floor units 3600 and 1600 for their excellent care and compassion.
Per John's request, there will be no Services. Donations in his name may be made to Strong Memorial Hospital, Cardiovascular Unit, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642.
