It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joji James Strassner on March 20, 2025, at the age of 53. Joji was born on June 16, 1971, and he left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. His warmth, humor, and passion for life will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Joji had many interests that brought joy to his life. He was a devoted fan of the New York Giants, often seen cheering for them with unmatched enthusiasm. He had an undeniable love for Elvis Presley, and his admiration for the King of Rock and Roll was evident in the music that filled his dreams. Joji also had a fascination with Harley Davidson motorcycles and the power of a Dodge Challenger, even though he never owned either - these were dreams he held dear.
Joji’s family meant the world to him. He was a proud and loving brother, son, uncle, and friend. His nieces and nephews brought him boundless joy, and he always made time to connect with them. Joji cherished his siblings, parents, and the entire family, and his presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Predeceased by his father, Joseph H. Strassner. Joji is survived by his mother, Fumiko Strassner; siblings, Karen Strassner, Mike Strassner, Michele (Dave) Bianchi; nieces and nephews, Dylan (Victoria), David, Cassidy, Moriah, Elisha; uncle, Harold Strassner; aunts, Carol (Richard) Geer, Kuniko Shimabukuro, Tamiko (Takehisa) Uezu; many cousins in the United States and Okinawa, Japan and countless friends who will remember his joyful heart, infectious laugh, and passion for the things that made life exciting.
A celebration of Joji’s life will be held on Thursday, March 27th from 4-7PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester, NY 14609. Joji's Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 28th at 10AM at the funeral home.
Private Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
