ROCHESTER- We are heartbroken to announce the unexpected death of our beloved son and brother, Jordan Christopher DiVincenzo, who passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the age of 30.
Jordan, affectionately known as "Jojo" to his grandmother and "Jordy" to his parents and siblings, was born on April 22, 1992, in Rochester, NY to Rick DiVincenzo and Janine Walsh-DiVincenzo. Jordan was a beautiful baby with his bright blond hair and big blue eyes. He was always with his older brother, Joshua, because they were so close in age. Jordan grew into the kindest, sweetest and funniest child. He and his older siblings attended summer camp every summer and Jordan and his brother drove the camp counselors crazy with their antics but no one could ever stay mad at them, especially Jordan, because Jordan could disarm anyone with his sense of humor. Jordan also enjoyed playing soccer and was naturally gifted. Jordan played for Aquinas, where he attended high school, and several soccer leagues including a travel league. His grandparents used to take him to all his travel games. Jordan kept his kind heart and beautiful qualities into adulthood. He worked with his father and sister at the DiVincenzo Family Bakery and had future dreams of owning his own landscaping business. He was also working towards becoming a phlebotomist. Jordan loved his family more than anything and was so good with his niece & nephews, often walking them to the stores to buy them cookies and candy, Jordan loved his sweets.
To know our Jordan was to love him, his kind nature, his sensitivity and empathy, his loyalty to his family and friends, his sincere generosity. Our Jordan was pure of heart, he lit up a room and could fill it full of laughter and smiles. He touched the lives of so many people and he made us better for having known him. We will miss Jordy incredibly, his light, his smile, his "I love you" every morning and every night. Jordan is forever in our hearts. We are comforted by faith that Jordan has now joined the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and is again with his beloved grandfather, who preceded him.
Jordan is predeceased by his grandfather, Ronald S. Walsh and his girlfriend, Andrea Parravano.
He is survived by his mother, Janine Walsh-DiVincenzo; his father, Rick DiVincenzo; his grandmother, Lois Walsh; his older sister, Ashley-Marie DiVincenzo; his older brother, Joshua DiVincenzo (MyKeisha); his younger sisters, Alexis-Marie DiVincenzo, Alyssa-Marie DiVincenzo (Luis), and Alyea Carrier; his younger brothers Christopher Smith, Shane Carrier, and Joseph Carrier; his nephews Joshua Jr. and Barry Elijah; his niece Mi'lanii; and many aunts, uncles, & cousins.
