He is survived by his mother, Florence Hamlin; daughter, Jodie (David) Beekman; grandchildren, Robyn and Joshua Beekman; sister, Susan Blakely; brother, Thomas Hamlin; several nieces and nephews. Joe was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi and Tau Beta Pi Fraternities.
Family and friends may attend calling hours 4-7 PM Tuesday at New Comer Family Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester, NY Followed by a Memorial Service at 7 PM. Interment, Dover Cemetery in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Memorials may be directed to the University of Maine's Chemical Engineering Dept., 101 College Ave. ,Orono, ME. 04473.
