Joseph W. Barr ("Coach")

May 4, 1939 – April 14, 2024

Webster – Passed away peacefully on April 14, 2024 with his family by his side.

Predeceased by his parents, twelve brothers and sisters and first wife, Donna Barr. Survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Joan Barr; children Dawn (Stephen) Ezell and Kimberly (Ned) Keskin; stepchildren Al (Barbara), Michael (Jack Herrmann) and Linda DiGuiseppe; grandchildren Nichole (Nicholas) Henderson, Courtney Ezell, and Samantha Keskin; step-grandchildren Rachel, Kristen, and Nicholas (Tiffany) Boyer and Jason, Deanna and Sean DiGuiseppe; great grandchildren and great step-grandchildren; brothers-in-law's, Robert (Janet) Hotis and David (Ellen) Agostinelli, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Joe's family will receive friends on April 19, 2024, from 2:00 pm-5:00 pm with a memorial service at 5:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on 6 Empire Boulevard. Burial at New Evans Mills Cemetery in Evans Mills, NY on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 12 noon.

Joe retired from Kodak as a Director of Scientific Information Systems.

Joe loved playing cards games like Pitch, Trash, War, UNO Flip and What Do You Meme with his family. He also enjoyed playing cards with his "poker buddies." Joe liked to go to the Casinos and the Racetrack/Casino for some horse betting, as well as poker and other games of chance. Joe had his fair share of coming home a Winner!

We will all miss some of his "Joeisms" like "Where do you want to be 1-3-5-7 years from now, what are you doing to get there and what are the obstacles standing in your way", "I will take that under advisement" and "I will do that the second Tuesday of next week."

Joe will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him.
