Passed away on April 19, 2024 at the age of 83.
Predeceased by his father, James Butera & Matilda Nardozzi.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Butera; children, Josette (Joseph) Taylor, Traci Butera, James Butera; grand-daughter, Juliana who was the light of his life; sister-in-law, Judy Felter; many nieces, nephews, & close friends who were chosen family.
Joseph graduated from the Aquinas Institute, where he then enlisted in the United States Army. After his discharge, he went on to receive a Bachelor's degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He worked for General Motors for 36 years, & upon his retirement he drove school bus for 20 years. He loved being with his family, reading, and spending time at his cottage on Conesus Lake.
Due to the wishes of the family, no formal services will be held at this time.
