Rochester: Saturday, October 16, 2010 at age 88. Predeceased by his wife, Mary Stella (Alaimo) Cavuoto; brothers, Carl and Frank; sister, Lucy. He is survived by his loving daughter, Ann Marie Mahan of FL; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Joann Cavuoto; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Joseph was a WWII US Army Veteran who served in the Pacific, a member of the American Legion Post #474 and the Laborer's International Union of North America Local #435 since 1950.
Family and friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10 AM at St. Cecilia's Church, 2732 Culver Road. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Lifetime Care Hospice of Rochester, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623 or VA Medical Center c/o Voluntary Service (135), 400 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua, NY 14424 in Joseph's memory.
