Joseph Corona, 51, of Irondequoit, NY, passed away on December 8th after an almost three year battle with Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer).
"Joey C., Irondequoit's Biggest Gangster" was born on February 10th, 1972 and graduated from Eastridge High School in June 1990. Joey then married his soulmate Kelly in 2009 and had his son Jacob, the light of his life in 2011.
Joey was always a giving person who only wanted to help others. This came out by owning his own business directly after graduating high school, to then working with disabled persons to eventually owning his own repair and remodeling business. Joey had a flair for design so not only did he "build it", but he designed it. Anyone that worked with him said over the course of a few days in their house, he became like family. That is who Joey was.
Joey was predeceased by his mother, Mary Ann Bell (Curcio), father, John Bell, and his brother-in-law, Adam Marano. He is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Ann Corona (Shaw), son Jacob Adam Corona, mother-in-law Deborah Shaw-Streb, father-in-law Donald Shaw, uncles Vincent Curcio and Gene Curcio (Janice) and several cousins.
Calling hours will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home at 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester, NY 14609 on Friday, December 15th from 3pm-7pm. Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 16th with interment immediately following at Irondequoit Cemetery.
