WEBSTER- Joseph P. Giallombardo, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 17, 2020.
Joe was born in Rochester, NY to the late Gioacchino and Mary Giallombardo on December 9, 1942. Joe was the salt of the earth. He will be remembered as a kind and caring, father, husband, grand father, brother, friend, and teacher. Joe was a dedicated English teacher at East High for 36 years.
Joe is predeceased by the mother of his children, Kathleen Zimmer.
Joe is survived by his children, Daniel Giallombardo, Lisa (Chris) Case, his beloved wife, RoseAnn Catalano Bacher-Giallombardo, his two grandchildren, his brother, John (Louise) Giallombardo, his two nephews and his niece, RoseAnn's four children and seven grandchildren, and many colleagues and friends.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anne Church, 1600 Mount Hope Ave., Rochester, NY 14620 on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 10am. Burial will be held at Webster Rural Cemetery.
A gathering for family and friends will be at a later date due to the pandemic.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joe's name to St. Anne Church, 1600 Mount Hope Ave., Rochester, NY 14620, or to Sister's of St. Joseph, 150 French Rd, Rochester, NY 14618.
