Joe was 75 years old at the time of his passing, tragically due to complications from Covid virus.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Layton and Maguerite Hart of Cohocton, NY.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara who was by his side at passing, his children, Joann (Bill) Balmer, Horseheads, NY, Kristie Hart, Newberry, FL, Brian (Tina) Hart, Thonotosassa, FL, Erica Hart of Knob Noster, Missouri, his step-daughter, Jennifer Ives, his grandchildren, Andrew Mock, Brookville, FL, Kendra Ryan (Dustin), Newberry, FL, Samantha Hart, Cody Robbins, Thonotosassa,FL, and his great grandchildren, Gavin Mock, Elmira, NY, Kayleigh, Adaline and Anthony Ryan of Newberry, FL, Branson Hart, Kenzie and Colt Robbins of Thonotosassa, FL
Joe was educated at Cohocton, NY public schools. He attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO.
He served honorably as a Vietnam era Army veteran along with being an Air Force veteran. Joe loved serving in the military and mentioned he regretted not making serving our country as a career.
One of his many occupations was employment at Gunlocke Furniture Manufacturer in Wayland, NY. He was also an over the road long haul truck driver and considered this the best job he ever had.
Joe was a conservative who loved America. He was concerned about former, active and returning veterans. He was a monthly contributor to The Wounded Warrior Project.
Joe accumulated many good friends during his life. He will be remembered for his teasing jokes, unfailingly work ethic and willingness to help those in need.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626, on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 9am-11am, with a service to immediately follow. A military burial will take place at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 6632 State Rate 96A, Romulus, NY 14541
