Joseph Rene Sigouin

Joseph Rene Sigouin, 86 years old of Greece, NY passed away on Sunday August 9th, 2020 at 10:00 am. Rene was born in Hammond, NY on April 15, 1934 to Marie-Ange and Leo Sigouin, both deceased. Rene had one brother, Bernard (deceased) and six sisters, Cecile (deceased), Jeannine, Gisele, Denise, Paulette (deceased) and Viviane. He was a wonderful husband of 61 years to Johanna Sigouin (deceased), and father to his two children, David (Elaine) and Leanne (Steve). Rene had 4 grandchildren, Brandyn, Matthew, Lauryn and Michael.
Prior to moving to the Rochester area in 1953, Rene grew up in Quebec and Ontario, Canada. He was an Army veteran spending several years in Japan and Korea. Rene returned to Rochester and worked at Eastman Kodak company for 33 years before retiring and settling in Barefoot Bay, FL from 1995-2018. He loved the game of softball and played on a senior league for over 15 years. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, most major league sports and playing cards with family and friends.
Services will be scheduled post quarantine, expected early November. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations please be made to the American Heart Association, heart.org, or the Alzheimer's Association, act.alz.org.
