Joseph Eric Thompson

Passed peacefully surrounded by family, October 11, 2021 at the age of 59.

Predeceased by his parents, Billy & Vera Thompson & brothers, Robert Thompson & Charles Thompson.

Survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Lateyfa Thompson; children, Justin Thompson, Jazalynn Thompson, & Xavier Thompson; beloved dog Duke; 11 siblings; a host of nieces, nephews, other family, & friends.

Joey was an amazing husband, father, brother & friend to all that knew him. He always had a smile & a laugh for everyone, no matter what kind of day you were having he could always make it brighter. If anyone had an issue Joey was the go to peacemaker. Joey always helped his family & friends whenever he could. He was always there for his kids either by attending games, or teaching how do things.

Joey was a life guard & taught many how to swim including his children. He was adept at doing wood projects.

Services will be held privately.
