Passed away peacefully with loving family by his side on January 6th at age 87. Predeceased by his wife, Marvelle. Survived by children, Darlene (David) Holtz, Debra (Mark) Zielke, Joseph Jr. (Sue) Vito, Patricia (Steve) Walzer, John (Stacey) Vito; grandchildren, Paul (Tammy) Birch, James (Renee) Holtz, Timothy (Nissa Benavides) Walzer, Andrea (David) Farnan, Margaret Walzer, Laura (Casey) Karger, Tiffany (Justin) Stambaugh, Amanda (Matt Cioppa) Vito, Samantha (Nick) Purvee, Franchesca (Jordan Jones) Mitchell, Angela, Alicia, Dominic Vito; great grandchildren, Emily, Brianna, Makynlee, Miles, Ella, Morgan, Natalie, Oliver, Wesley, Max, Henry, Hailey, Isaac, Hank; brother, Vincent Vito; sister-in-law, Louise Maier; many nieces & nephews & lifelong dear friends, Don & Marge Pelino.
Dad was a loving and devoted husband, father and papa. He loved spending times with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joe was an Army Veteran who served in the Korean War from 1950-1953. He worked at Tobin Packing Co. from 1957 until 1975 then worked at Eastman Kodak until his retirement in 1991.
A special Thank You to Joe's caregiver Ashley and to the U of R Hospice Nurses for their care & compassion to Joe and his family.
Joseph's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, January 15th at St. John the Evangelist Church, 54 Martha Street, Spencerport, NY 14559 followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
