Josephine was born January 18, 1924 in Rochester, NY to Luigi and Pauline DiMatteo. She graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in 1942 and from Eastman Dental Dispensary in 1945. She married the love of her life, Carroll (Buddy) F. Warlick at North Baptist Church in 1951. Josephine worked as a dental hygienist for roughly 50 years at a variety of Rochester area dental practices. She was a devout Christian woman who was an active member of North Baptist Church, Westside Baptist Church and Pearce Memorial Church. Her life was her testimony, and her family was her life. She was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Family and relatives describe her as being “welcoming,” “gracious,” “unshakably resolute,” “intelligent,” “ahead of her time” and “a great cook.” Jo was always open-minded, and never shied away from learning new things - quietly determined in her independence. She was forever concerned with the needs and wishes of others more than with her own. Josephine was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial service will be held on August 17, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Pearce Church, North Chili, NY.
