Joyce passed peacefully, with her children by her side, due to complications from COPD.
Joyce was a life long learner who enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking, the arts and classical music. She was a musician and played the saxophone, clarinet and piano and enjoyed singing as well. Joyce took part in several organized musical groups including the St. Mary's Church choir and New Horizons Band through the Eastman School of Music. She developed a passion for folk art painting.
Joyce married Jim in 1954 and after raising her four children, Joyce received her nursing degree from Nazareth College. In 1986, she received her Masters in Social Work from SUNY Brockport. She worked as a registered nurse and psychotherapist at several organizations including St. John's Nursing Home, DePaul Mental Health and Noyes Hospital. Joyce also had her own practice in Livonia, NY for several years.
Joyce is predeceased by her husband, James S. Fleck, her parents Cyril and Ruth LeBeau, her sister, Nancy LeBeau, her sister-in-law Marilyn, and her brothers-in-law Daniel Fleck, Richard Thomas and Doug Wischoff. She is survived by her children Jim (Lynda) Fleck, Sue (Ken Bruckman) Mustard, John Fleck and Lisa (Chip) Derleth. Her grandchildren include Jerry, Nick and Josh Fleck, Henry and Hannah Mustard, and Danny and Jamie Derleth. Joyce's great grandchildren include Jerrad, Ian, Tyler, Riley, Chase, Grace, Madison, Lillian and Joshua. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Judy Wischoff.
