Joyce Nadine Zielke
June 19, 1939 — June 29, 2023
Joyce Nadine Zielke (Murant), woman of perpetual motion, died peacefully on June 29, 2023 after a long illness at the age of 84. Joyce is predeceased by her husband and best friend of 49 years, David Zielke.
Joyce is survived by her daughter Vickie, her son Mark and daughter-in-law Debbie and three granddaughters who were the light of her life, Tiffany, Nadie-Leigh, and Ryley, and grandson, Paul, her sister Genevieve and several nieces and nephews, sons-in-law, and great-grandchildren.
Joyce graduated from West High School Class and was a proud member of the Class of 1960 Rochester General Hospital Nursing School. Nursing was her passion. Joyce dedicated 52 years working at RGH where she had many devoted friends and colleagues. After she retired, Joyce continued caring for patients by volunteering at a local hospice facility.
We are grateful to all of those who have offered comfort and support. A special thank-you to the angels at Pines of Peace Hospice who offered Joyce the same care and compassion she brought to her patients.
